19th srt8 year in the playoffs according 2 wikipedia… no doubt the Vladinator was a +60 in his final year… what promise he had… i still cant believe he didnt win the norris trophy that year. just imagine if it were still Vlady n Nik on the blueline. add in players such as Ericsson, Rafalski, Kronwall (Swedish Vlad =P), Stuart, n dont 4get the old man Cheli =]!

I love the wings, but if I could trade those 3 cups since 1997 for Vladdy and Sergei's full health, I'd do it in a heartbeat, no questions asked.

This was great! I moved away from Michigan about 5 yrs ago so I don't see much that happens with the Wings live, but I somehow never doubted that Vladdy would walk again – he always had his own brand of toughness and it looks like he's kicking butt in typical Konstantinov fashion in the longest, hardest fight of all.

Everyone who is a Wings fan misses Vlady. His career was cut short by a man who was driving while he was high. It makes me happy to see that he is walking with a walker. Especially since the doctors said he would never walk again. ♥
